History
Wassa has been developing and manufacturing packaging and providing logistics services for many years. Our goal is to provide fast, flexible and comprehensive services that are also tailored to meet our customers’ specific needs.
Wassa was founded as a family business in 2007. Seventeen years of successful business have placed the company among the leading cardboard processing firms. All that time we have been organically growing and evolving. We currently employ more than 150 employees and have several production and logistics centers. We primarily operate in the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany and other EU countries.
Sheltered Workshop
In 2012, we established a sheltered workshop that provides more than 100 long-term sheltered jobs and offers new positions all the time. We can therefore offer our customers ‘substitute performance’ and thus reduce potential penalties imposed by authorities for not employing a legally defined number of disabled fellow citizens.
We meet the condition set out in Section 81(2)(b) of Act No. 435/2004 Coll., on Employment, and can therefore provide substitute performance of up to CZK 80 million. With this we demonstrate that a health condition does not have to be a barrier to work. It is no longer a surprise to us that a disabled person can be more efficient at work than many a ‘healthy person’.

Wassa holds certificates that guarantee excellent quality and working environment. We hold FSC, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates.
FSC Certificate
The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) certification system was established in 1993 by representatives of international environmental organizations, timber traders, foresters, the timber industry, indigenous people associations, trade unions, and certification organizations from around the world. The basic idea of the FSC is to promote environmentally responsible, socially beneficial, and financially viable management of forests on a global scale, thereby helping to protect disappearing, threatened, and devastated forests. The certification applies only to FSC-labelled products.
ISO 9001 Certificate
We are an ISO 9001 certified company, and our Quality Management System (QMS) guarantees high and consistent quality of our products and services. Our products meet all legal and regulatory requirements. Every product is traceable throughout the entire production and distribution chain. We set our own challenging quality targets and apply technological processes in production that have no negative impact on the environment. Thanks to our systematic quality management, we have minimized the percentage of complaints due to non-compliance with agreed product parameters. In our company, quality control is the common denominator for all our activities in the entire purchasing, production, and sales process.
ISO 14001 Certificate
This standard sets out the principles of environmental management, or environmental impact management. Our company meets strict conditions to help reduce the environmental impact of our operations. We have set a clear environmental policy, identify, measure, and eliminate risks, comply with all legislative requirements, and take action to improve what we do.

Our leading customers include Drylock, Škoda Auto, ZF, Magna, Benteler, Vyrtych, Leoni, Ravak, etc. We have also been cooperating with the VÚTS research institute in Liberec for a long time. This cooperation has proven to be very successful and is a reliable guarantee of quality for our customers. The fruits of this cooperation include new packaging technologies developed as well as innovations of current technologies. The research institute provides us with very important data (e.g., simulations and deformations), thanks to which we can optimize specific packaging solutions.
